Translating Revolution:
U.S. Artists Interpret Mexican Muralists

This unique exhibition examines the influence of Mexican muralists on U.S. visual culture and the subsequent re-invention of the mural movement in the U.S. Artists from east to west gleaned inspiration from the Mexican mural in numerous ways. Some of the artists visited Mexico for months, while others stayed a lifetime and became Mexican citizens.

Esta exhibición única en su género examina la influencia que tuvo el movimiento muralista mexicano en la cultura visual de los Estados Unidos. Los artistas de la costa este y oeste de los Estado Unidos se inspiraron en los murales mexicano en un sín numero de formas. Mientas algunos artistas visitaron México por meses solamente, otros, por el contrario, permanecieron allí el resto de sus vidas hasta convertirse en ciudadanos.
