In an effort to inform parents of the alarming concerns of child obesity in Chicago children, The National Museum of Mexican Art and CLOCC(Consortium to Lower Obesity in Chicago Children) would like to invite you to join us and help kick off the festivities for this year’s Día del Niño! It is a wonderful, 2-mile health walk that starts at the Museum and ends at the UIC Pavilion. All of those that participate receive a free gift or more and get to register early for the festival. Early registration helps you breeze right through those hectic lines when arriving to the Pavilion!
In addition it is your chance to learn about CLOCC’s healthy lifestyle message for kids, 54321Go! The message is simple: 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day, 4 servings of water a day, 3 servings of low-fat dairy a day, 2 hours or less of screen time a day, and at least 1 or more hours of physical activity a day. Enjoy a fun healthy walk and spend time with your family.
