Chicago Día Del Nino Family Festival
The Chicago Día del Niño Family Festival is the largest children's celebration dedicated to promoting healthy living and observing Mexico's national holiday (April 30) that celebrates all children. This annual festival takes places each spring during the month of April. Children and families who attend this free event enjoy live performances, interactive games, fitness activities, cooking demonstrations, health screenings, art activities, clowns, raffles, gifts, and more.

Día del Niño Family Health Walk
Each year, the Chicago Día del Niño family festival is kicked off with a fun, family health walk to the UIC Pavilion, the new home of the festival since 2004. Participants walk a 2-mile course and receive many free gifts.

Bilingual Summer Camp
During the month of July, children ages 7 to11 have an opportunity to spend their summer learning about the diversity in the arts. This past year's Summer Camp schedule included Spanish, yoga, traditional games, theatre, art history and photography. Fees are $250 per child.

Children's Art Classes
Throughout the year, the Museum's education department offers Saturday morning or after-school art classes for beginners or children with advanced art skills. Class themes may vary by exhibition, medium or technique.

Gallery Guides
The Museum's Education Department often develops interactive gallery guides that help children and their families navigate the exhibitions and gain a better understanding of its themes and works of art. Gallery guides are available for selected exhibitions only.

Arts Outreach
As part of our mission to exemplify the beauty and richness of Mexican culture, the Museum participates in various annual festivals, fairs, celebrations, community or museum events by offering cultural hands-on activities for the public.
