Curriculum Materials & Resources

An integral part of the Education Department's mission is to assist teachers in integrating cultural themes and objects into their classroom. Using the works of art and themes in our exhibitions, museum educators develop interdisciplinary exhibition guides, lesson plans, hand-on art activities, tools and other resources to enhance students' learning experiences and expand their appreciation and understanding of art and culture.

Lectures/Symposia

Every year, the Museum hosts lectures and symposia to compliment special exhibitions. Experts in Mexican art, history, literature, or culture are invited to share insight on many historic and contemporary issues relevant to the works of art or artist in our exhibitions. Teachers are eligible to receive CPDU's for participating in these cultural events.

Public Programs and Workshops

The Education Department offers a variety of special programs such as public tours, hands-on workshops, demonstrations, or family events to compliment special exhibitions. These public programs are especially developed to further the museum learning experience.
