Using a fusion of Mexican catholic iconography and other aesthetic and cultural influences, Javier Chavira connects viewers with the mission of humanitarian visionaries through contemporary portraiture. Curated by the Kraft Foods Chicago Gallery Committee: Silvia Rivera, Oscar Sánchez and Gabriel Villa.

 

 
EDUCATION
On-Going Registration for Bilingual Summer Camp
During the month of July, children ages 7 to 11 have an opportunity to spend their summer learning about the diversity in the arts. This past year's Summer Camp  schedule included Spanish, yoga, traditional games, theatre, art history and photography. Fees are $250 per child. On-Going Registration for Children’s Summer Art Classes

The Museum’s annual Cinco de Mayo Gala raises funds for the National Museum of Mexican Art’s educational programming and youth outreach initiatives: Radio Arte and Yollocalli Arts Reach.  At this years gala the Museum will be honoring Mr. Norman R. Bobins, President and Chief Executive Officer of LaSalle Bank Corporation with the first annual Arthur R.
