LUCYNA MIGALA is an impresario, arts administrator,
broadcast journalist and cultural activist in the Polish-
American community of the Chicago area.
She is co-founder, artistic director and general manager of
the Lira Ensemble, the nation's only professional performing
arts company specializing in Polish music, song and dance.
She is also vice president and program director of WCEV
Radio/1540am. Born in Poland, she earned a degree in
journalism from Northwestern University and was a fellow at
the Washington Journalism Center in the nation's capital.
She spent 13 years as a writer, reporter and producer for
NBC News - based in Chicago, Cleveland, Washington, DC
and in Poland. Ms. Migala has won countless awards and
distinctions, including an Emmy for her work in television, an
award fro the Chicago Commission on Human Relations
for her work in radio, and a medal from the President of
Poland for her work in Polish culture
