Empanada rocked the Sor Juana Festival in Houston, Texas,
one year after it premiered in San Antonio, Texas. Join us for
the Chicago premiere of this some times hilarious comedy,
other times dramatic and emotional story of the difficult
challenges a Mexican-American is faced with when Empanada
forces us to challenge our own beliefs and see life through
the eyes of a woman who is torn between her family, faith
and personal acceptance. Empanada illustrates the Lesbiana,
singing her sensuality through bilingual poems and short
stories, live music and photography.
This event is co-sponsored by Amigas Latinas and the
Assoication of Latino Men for Action (ALMA)
